Announcing Version 11 - SmartBidNet

  • TAKEOFF: Cloud Takeoff integration is now live for all "Open to Bid" projects. Perform takeoff operations in collaboration with subcontractors, simultaneously editing, sharing, and commenting on project documents. Learn more
  • Jobsite123 Synchronization & Integration - Learn more
    • The complete Jobsite123 subcontractor database has been synced with the SmartBidNet Registry of Public Subs
    • When viewing a public company, users can click the "View Jobsite123 Profile" for more information
  • PROJECT DOCUMENTS: Storage of project files is now handled by Windows Azure for more secure backup and client retrieval.
  • COMPANIES: "Do Not Use" and "Out of Business" check boxes have been added to every Company profile to prevent a company from appearing on a prequal or bid project but still allow them to show up in search.
  • COMPANIES: When the company location is a country other than USA or Canada the fields have been modified to allow for the appropriate fax and phone number prefixes.
  • PROJECTS: Bids and Bid Projects have been renamed as "Projects" across the entire system.
  • PROJECTS: Tab 6 has been redesigned to allow for a "Basic View" and "Expanded View," the default status of which can be edited in Update My Info. The "Basic View" collapses each sub contractor to just one line, if they are invited then all contacts (viewable in "Expanded View") are invited. This viewing option can be changed from within the tab, also, and is being implemented across other tabs within Bid Projects and will be announced accordingly.
  • PROJECTS: Invited (INV), Accepted (ACC), Declined (DEC), and Proposed (PRO) distinctions in italics and gray text have been added to the right of the trade code descriptions on tabs 6, 6a, 7 and 8. These statuses  are not live but will refresh every 5 minutes.
  • PROJECTS: Currently, if a project has multiple bid dates, then all bid packages have to have a bid date.  However, sometimes not all bid packages need a bid date and therefore we've added "No Bid Date” as an option for any specific bid package.
  • PROJECTS: From 'Upcoming' the status of projects can only be changed to 'Completed,' 'Open to Bid,' and 'Past Bid Due Date' to avoid error in assigning the wrong status from the long list.
  • PROJECTS: When a project is set up with "Use different notification for each manager" the default for the "From" dropdown field in Communications will be "Select Manager". It is now required that a selection is made from the drop-down menu for the sender, each time a communication is sent out.
  • REPORTS: The "Public" label has been given its own column allowing users to separate out Public Subs when generating reports. Company Name and Location have also now been separated into two columns for enhanced filtering when exporting.
  • PREQUAL: "None Selected" has been added to the Prequal Status drop down on the Show/Search/Export screen.
  • COMMUNICATIONS: A "Resend" option button has been added to every screen communications are sent from.
  • SYSTEM: The scroll wheel functionality has been added to all scrollable windows
  • EXPORTS: The scope value has been added to all PDF exports on Tabs 6, 6a, 7, and 8 exports to the right of trade codes or packages.
  • PRINT ORDERS: We have revamped several of the features:
    • We have added an option to designate the quantity of Specifications
    • The system now lists Binding options for three categories of print material: Full Sized, Half Sized, and Specifications.
    • The Binding options of Specifications list include Loose Standard, Loose 3-Hole Punch, Stapled, and GBC (Bound).
    • Users can now check a box to either specify a Printing Due Date or Print Upon Receipt of Order. A check box has also been added to ‘Request Rush Service.'
    • A ‘Reference’ field has been added for the Repro company to list a job reference on the invoice.
    • The following delivery options have been added: 'Deliver to my location', 'Ship to location', 'I will pick these up.'
    • As requested we've also added payment options that more accurately reflect the arrangements between contractor and printing companies; ‘Invoice me using our agreed upon method’, ‘Invoice me using the following Information’ (with a space to enter alternate Invoicing Instructions), ‘Bill my Account’, ‘Call me for a Credit Card Number’ (With a space to enter a phone number), 'COD', and ‘I’ll pay when I pick these up.'
